THE PROPORTION OF UNDERGRADUATES, POSTGRADUATES, AND OTHER STUDENTS SPENDING TIME IN THE LIBRARY 5A1Jn
The three pie charts illustrate the number of hours of three student group, namely postgraduates, undergraduates and total student population.
In general, it is clear that almost undergraduates and other students use library from 1 to 7 hours per week. Meanwhile, the pattern for postgraduates is substantially different.
A closer look to the charts, the proportion of posgraduates who spend 15 hours or more in the library occupy 51%, which is totally different from others. Furthermore, only 17% of postgraduate students spend 1 to 7 hours in the library compared to 63% of undergraduates and 50% of other students.
Meanwhile, about a quarter of undergraduates spend 8 to 14 hours in a library per week, compared to 35% of all student body. In addition, the proportion of postgraduate students who spend more than 15 hours a week in the library is similar to the entire student body who spend 1 to 7 hours a week in the library.
In conclusion, we can see clearly that the higher you get educated, the more time you spend in the library.
