The diagram illustrates steps and methods followed in process of cement manufacturing. The process of manufacturing cement includes multiple steps. Overall the picture shows all the steps from the mining of limestone, adding gypsum all the way, in the end, getting cement as the final product. To begin with, limestone is mined from the limestone quarry, then the limestone rocks are dumped into a crusher resulting in finely grounded limestone from the secondary crusher. The fine ground limestone is passed through proportioning equipment where sand and clay are mixed in limestone. Then the mixer goes through a grinding mill where limestone, clay and sand are thoroughly mixed. A preheated tower is used along with a kiln for blending the mixer into a clinker. The clinker is then sent to a clinker cooler, and the heat from the cooler is recycled. Now gypsum is added to cooled clinker inside proportioning equipment, after which it is completely mixed inside a grinding mill. And the final mixer we got at the end is called cement. Which is then stored in a storage and shipped.
