The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

The maps illustrate the developments which took place in the public garden namely Grange Park from 1920 to the present day. Overall, a comparison of the two maps reveals a complete transformation from a traditional to a modern one. In the south, the most noticeable is that there was a stage for musicians which has demolished and made a way for Amphitheatre for concerts. Moreover, the rose gardens disappeared except one, which is facing theater, and one rose garden appears in the place of the fountain which was in the middle of the park in 1920. Also, seats are removed from over the park and placed along with the rose garden. In the north, another noticeable point is that pond is transformed into a children’s play area, and the glasshouse has been demolished and replaced with a water feature. Also, the café is opened on the left side of the play area at the place of a rose garden. Further development is the car park which establishes underground at the east side of the park. However, the entrance at north and south has remained the same.
