The pie charts illustrate the percentage of British students at an English university who knows more than one languages from 2000 to 2010. Overall, there is an increase on the number of students who only knows English and one or two another language different from the given ones, while decrease can be seen on the count of students who only speak Spanish, French or German other than English. In 2000, student percentage who just knows English is 30%, which is the greatest portion amongst the other options. Spanish as second language follows that with 20%, which puts it to the second place. Another language and French as second language have the same percentage, which is 15% by each. Two other languages and German as extra to the first language totaled 20%, with 10% for each. By 2010, Students with only mother tongue have increased by 5% and kept it's place with 35%. Only Spanish known percentage amongst the others, has been halved, which caused a fall from the second place. Another language as second language has shown an increase by 5%, while German has exact opposite trend. Two other languages has rose by it's half and German has protected it's popularity.
