In terms of Housing and Transport, the expenditure of Japanese families on Housing was higher than that on Transport, with 21% and 20% respectively. Meanwhile, the rate of spending on Healthcare accounted for 6%, which was recorded as the lowest figure in the chart.
Similar to Japan, the least spending service in Malaysia belonged to Healthcare with 3%, which was a third of the percentage of household spending on Food (27%). 6% of the total family spending in Malaysia was on Other goods and services, whereas expenditure on Transport stood at exactly one-fifth of the total money spent by Malaysian. At the same time, the figure for Housing is higher than any other, at 34%.
