The pie charts give information about the proportion of people working in three sectors manufacturing, sales and services in two towns in 1960 and in 2010. It is noticeable that the percentage of people working in manufacturing decreased sharply over a period shown in town A and town B. On the other hand, those of people working in service companies increased dramatically during this survey. Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that the percentage of people working in services in 2010, which stood at 64%, twice as much as that in 1960 in town A. By contrast, the numbers of people working in two sectors manufacturing and sales in 2010 were considerably lower than that in 1960 in town A. In town B, there was a significant rise in the proportion of people who worked in the services sector by 15% in 2010. However, the percentage of people working in manufacturing sectors saw a sharp decline of 53% in 2010.
