The pie chart describes how many units of electricity are produced by non-renewable sources in Australia and France between the years 1980 to 2000. Overall, it can be seen that the total production of units increased in both countries. While coal accounted for the highest source of electricity in Australia; Nuclear power was the major source in France. In Australia, during 1980 half of the electricity was produced by coal which saw an exponential increase by three times to reach 130 in 2000. in addition, Hydropower saw a similar pattern where it increased by 16 to produce 36 units in 2000. In contrast, oil and natural gas combined accounted for 30 units in 1980 of electricity which decreased to 4 units in 2000. Whereas in France, nuclear power was the major source for electricity which increased by five times in 2000 to produce 125 units. Coal remained the same during both period by 25 units whereas, hydropower and natural gas was the least contributor by 2 units respectively. Oil provided 5 units of electricity which climbed to 25 units in 2000.
