The pie charts illustrate the changes in the percentages of Oscar winners by seven kinds of film in the years 2003 and 2008. It is clear that there are dramatic changes in the proportion of most genres of film, except for Comedy which remained stable over the period. In detail, Action films accounted for nearly 15 % of the rates of winners in 2003 before experienced to about a quarter of the total proportion in the year 2008. The percentage of oscar winners for Science Fiction films doubled up while the figure for Horror dropped to one-third in the year 2008.
