The given pie charts compare information about expenditures of the average household in 5 different types, namely housing, transport, food, health care and other good and services in 2010. Overall, it seems that the largest amount of expenditures is allocated to other good and services, while food and housing are other significant items. According to the first chart, in Japan, the most significant amounts are paid for other goods and services ( 29%) and for food (almost a quarter of household expenditure), while housing also accounts for a considerable percentage. The least among the four is spent on health care only 6 percent. The remaining 20% is spent on transport. The second chart shows that there is significant difference between housing, 34% and health care, 3% in Malaysia. Food and other goods share the similar proportions and together are host to half of the Malaysia’s expenditures, while the remaining 10% is accounted for transport.
