The pie charts below show how the city of Hertfordshire funded its public libraries over two financial terms.

The given pie charts illustrate the funding of public libraries in 2014 to 2015 and 2017-2018 periods by the city of Hertfordshire. Overall, for both economical years the public library funding were relatively same which came from five different sources. Among five sources council tax and other government grants provided the majority of fund. Funding from revenue support grant and business rates were decreased over period while, funding from other income remained same. Over the two financial periods the total income has decreased from 820 million to 816 million which was merely 3 million. Funding by council tax was increased from 57% to 68% over the two period whereas funding by revenue support grant was decreased from 18% to 6%. Other Government grants funding increased over the two period which was 17% in 2014/2015 and 19% in 2017/2018. Funding by business rates decreased from 6% to 5% while, other income funding remained same over the two period.
