The pie chart below indicates the family expenditure in 1990. In general, spending on food made up the largest portion of the chart while saving was the lowest rate. As indicated from the chart, the highest amount of money were spent on food with exactly 35%. Spending on rent accounted for over a quarter of the total, at 27% which was the second highest. Meanwhile education expenditure comprised 12% followed by transport and leisure represented the same percentage of 10% each. The least amount of money were spent on saving with a small fraction, at 2%.
