According to the pie chart, over-grazing contributes the largest share of land degradation, whereas both over-cultivation and deforestation are responsible for about one-third of total land degradation. The remaining 7% is accounted to a variety of other items. Furthermore, Europe had the highest percentage of total land degradation with 23%, which all three factors including deforestation, over-cultivation, and over-grazing had a considerable contribution.
