Today I will describe the sources of imported fish into the US from other countries, between 1998 and 2000, based on the information from three pie charts.
As described in the pie charts in 1988 Canada was the principal importer of fish for US. After only four years the position of Canada completely changed; from 60% of the total importation in 1988 it arrived at “only” 34%. The decreasing trend continues over the years until 2009 where Canada reached 28%.
In the pie charts, the history of the importation into the US from China is also reported during the period between 1988-2000. The pie charts tell us that China’s importation from 13% in 1988 reached 20% in 1992 and this increase continued until 2000, where China reached 30%.
For the other nations the pie charts describe a constant increase from 1988 to 2000; that increase brings other countries from 27% to the highest value of all sources at 42% in 2000.
