While the use of traditional devices decreased dramatically, new technological appliances became more prevalent as television viewing devices. One of the most salient features in this data is that the use of conventional TV viewing devices fell substantially from over a quarter to 4% over the given period. The other terms of traditional appliances such as laptops and desktop computers experienced a similar pattern in which the figures for laptops plummeted from a fifth to only 12% and those of desktop devices fell by almost one-third from 18% to 12%. On the other hand, there was an exponential growth of modern devices. The utilization of flat-screen TVs witnessed a sharp acceleration from 8% to 27% in 2017 making it the most prevalent device in terms of TV viewing. Another striking data is that the figures for mobile phones increased considerably by approximately as twice as much as it was in 2007 with 15%, those of tablets witnessed the same pattern which rocketed by a fourth from a minor of 5% to just under 20% in ten years
