The pie chart gives information about the proportion of workforce from certain countries moving to Australia in 1991. Overall, it’s clear that there are two main groups of immigrant workers: Europe and Asia. It is also noticeable that Europe made up for the highest percentage of foreign workers. The majority of the foreign labour was from Europe. To begin with, the workforce coming from Europe accounted for an overwhelming majority, which is almost twenty-one times as much as the lowest category. As can be seen, Asia ranked the second highest rate, which represented an estimated 18% of the immigrant workforce in that year. On the other hand, the other regions experienced an opposite pattern. The low figures on the graph were for New Zealand, Middle East, North Africa, and American. In particular, American, Middle East, and North Africa had a similar rate with tiny minority figures. Meanwhile, the proportion of workers from New Zealand is a bit higher with 9%. However, it was still significantly lower than the highest figure.
