The given pie charts illustrate the proportion of various native languages used by students at bakersfield senior colleges in the year 1980 and 1990. The general trend observed was that in both the years English was the most spoken language while languages other than urdu chinese english maintained a constant number of speakers. In the year 1980, slightly more than 3 quarter students were english native speakers which declined significantly to 55% in 1990. A small percentage of 9% people used chinese language in 1980 which saw a slight rise by 2% in the following year. Another language, Urdu accounted for 15% of users which also followed the increasing trend by 1990. There was sharp increase to 28%. Languages other than these three did not show any change over the year and continued to be at the lowest percentage of 6%.
