The two pie charts compare the proportion of five different sources of energy produced in France in 19995 and 2005.
Overall, there was a small change in all forms of energy production over the 10 year period. Accounting for more than half of the energy produced, gas and coal was the most popular sources of energy in both years, whereas there was the least amount of energy manufactured in nuclear and others.
In 1995, the proportion of coal energy production represented 29. 80%, but this was followed by a slight increase to 30. 93%. Turning to gas, it made up 29. 63% of production, after that the proportion rose by around 2%, 10 years later.
If we look at nuclear and other forms of energy produced in France, they increased by approximately 5% from 4. 90% and 6. 40% to 9. 10% and 10. 10% respectively. In contrast, petrol saw decrease in production from 29. 27 percent in 1995 to around 19. 55 percent in 2005.
