The table shows the percentage of fuel type used to generate elecricity in five Asian countries in 2005. The persentage use of four different fuel types in each countries was significantly different. However, each Asain countries chose different fuel types to generate most electricity used in their countries. Malaysia's major fuel type was coal and lignite at 61%, while the percentage use of petroluem products was very low which is 2 percent. Likewise, Singapore mainly used coal and lignite as their source of power to generate electricity at 42 percent. Meanwhile, petroluem products and hydro & wind were not main fuel types that Singapore decided to use. On the other hand, Thailand's main fuel types were petroluem products and other types, 36 percent and 42 percent consecutively. For South Korea and Japan, their major source of electricity were nuclear power. However, Sounth Korea's percentage of using hydro and wind was significant as well, ar 48%. In general, even though each country focused on different uses of fuel types, it was clearly that each country also relied on other source of fuel to generate their electricity.
