The bar chart illustrates the percentage of fruit and vegetable consumer that follow the recommendation in the UK in 2002, 2006 and 2010. Overall, it can be seen from the chart that women had the highest percentage in every year followed by men and children respectively. In 2002, women's fruit and vegetable consumption stood the highest percentage as 25 percent followed by men at 22 percent and children by one-half of men's consumption. In the next following 4 years, the overall percentage increased at least 4 percent. Moreover, women consumption percentage reached up to 32 percent. In 2010, every section experienced a downtrend. However, the percentage still greater than in 2002 by 1-2 percent for men and woman whereas children were the exception because the consumption percentage in children section was marginal decreased. In this period, every section tends to experience the same trend. The percentage in every section reached the peak in 2006 and dropped in 2010.
