It is considered that the salary is the essential point in a job. However, I do not agree with this statement because I reckon that the crucial thing in work is a healthy work environment and good working conditions.
These days numerous people prefer to have a low salary but instead of this, they want to work in a healthy workplace. The main reason is that people now more appreciate healthy working communication and they care about their nerves and want to get satisfaction from their job. They want to work in a calm and friendly place with smart colleagues. For instance, the New York research Centre conducted a survey in 2018. The results highlighted that 87% of questionnaires preferred to work in a healthy environment with low wages rather than to have a high salary but work with unpleasant directors or coworkers.
On the other hand, the working condition is not the less important point. The company should provide high qualified equipment for employees and also the working room should be furnished with chairs, tables and other needed furniture for convenient working placement. For example, the Austrian Research office organised a survey in 2018. The research showed that many employees work better and show the qualified result in companies with comfortable working conditions. This kind of surveys helped employers to learn about the gaps and to do their best to improve the working conditions. Also, many directors hired psychologists for employees to solve the problems among the co-workers.
All in all, I think that people nowadays tend to work with a low salary but in a healthy working environment with good conditions.
