Overall, it is clear that the percentage of boys playing sports is higher than this figure for girls except for athletics, netball and swimming. However, the biggest proportion gap belongs to netball. While the rate of girls who played netball accounted for at around 25%, only 1% of girls playing cricket. Athletics and swimming were also the two major sports for girls, had the proportion of below 5% and at about 22%, respectively. Approximately 6% of girls playing basketball and this figure for tennis was 7%. Only 10% of girls played the other sports. The majority of boys played soccer and criket, at below 25% and 10% respectively. On the other hand athletics and netball were not so common while these figures only accounted for above 3% and 1% respectively.
