In 2000, the town was mostly individual houses and blocks of flats with the a number of trees and undeveloped spaces. The eastern side of the river had some facilities such as a school, a hospital and a railway station were located at that time. By 2013, Templeton was dramatically changed. The most noticeable is that a ferry port was built, and there was more railway connecting both sides of the river. Moreover, the western side of the town had turned to residential communities. Most of the houses were knocked down and replaced by a supermarket and blocks of flats next to the beach and lake. On the other side of the town, the trees were cleared to make way for the factory and airport.
