Overall, the percentage of Canadians and Americans have accessed the internet are much larger than Mexicans. And Canada has the fastest growth rates in internet use. In 1999, the percentage of internet users in the United States was about 20%. Canada and Mexico are lower, at about 10% and 5%, respectively. In 2005, internet usage rates in both USA and Canada rose to 70% of population, while in Mexico it was just over 25%. By 2009, Canada was the highest percentage of internet users. Nearly 100% of Canadians had already used the internet, compared to 80% of Americán and only 40% of Mexicans.
