The maps illustrate the settlement of Woodland in 1980 and 2010 revealing what have changed and what has remained same. Overall, the Woodland witnessed dramatic changes and was completely modernized into residential area during the time period; however, East bank appears to have been left undeveloped. Originally, there were nothing; nonetheless, it was converted into retirement village. The most noticeable addition was that the retirement village with the road was built in among the Woodland. Another major changes were that restaurant and hotel were replaced by demolishing Tea room and sand dunes which were in the seaside. Additionally, golf course, which were nothing before, was added in the north side of permanent houses. However, the East bank has remained as unchanged without touched.
