The maps illustrate the changes of a museum between 1957 and 2007 awOxX
The two maps depict the developments of a museum from 1957 to 2007. The initial impressions from the map is that the museum has changed considerably over the 50-year period with six new features can be seen in the second map. In 1957, there was a small path from the main road leading to the main hall of the museum. Standing from the entrance, we could see a local history room in our left, a museum storeroom in our right and a national history exhibition right in front of us. Surrounding the museum was a jungle full of trees. In 2007, many trees, including roadside trees, which could be seen in the 1957 map, were cut down to make space for a car park. The museum was enlarged with a minor improvement. The small path from the road was destructed and we had to walk through the museum souvenir shop in order to get to the main hall of the museum. From there, we could see a reception desk and a café shop in the corner. The national history exhibition had been turned into the local history room. Two new rooms were added for special exhibitons and an education centre.
