The graph illustrates the percentage of four different materials (paper and cardboard, glass containers, aluminium cans and plastics) which underwent the recycling process between 1982 and 2010. XG66g
The graph illustrates the quantity of 4 different materials being recycled in a specific country. The data are recorded over 38 years, ending in 2010. Paper and cardboard were considered greater by 15% of recycled material in 1982, this difference increase to approximately 25% after 8 years. Then, both fields increase their recycling rates within the next 4 years to 80% for paper and cardboard, and 50% for glass containers. Despite this increment, paper and cardboard had decline by 10% in the next 16 years, whilst the opposite had happened for glass containers. Thus the difference became only 10% only in 2010. Aluminium cans recycle was established in the dawn of 1986, and started to increase at an alarming rate with an extraordinary 40% increment over the 24-year period. In addition, plastics recycle started late in the ‘90s, and maintained its 5% rate throughout the years after being formed. Overall, the paper and cardboard maintain the lead in the most material recycled over the years of the investigation, whereas the plastics are the substances in which they are the least recycled. Moreover, plastics are considered to be the most recent project in the recycling field. However, paper, cardboard and glass containers had their infrastructure present in 1982
