The set of maps illustrate the information regarding the development of the Langley town in the year 1910 and 1950. In the year 1910, it is evident from the details that on the west side of the map there were series of small houses located on both sides of Jordan street. Also, there were a number of single-story buildings were built on Sherman street. Moreover, cafe, store, and laundry apartments were established on this street. Then, towards the north of this road, there was a factory, and wasteland was situated; however, for the southside where railway line, as well as cottages for the railway's workers, were located. Over the period of 40 years, there were drastic changes occurred in the town of Langley. To begin with, on the west side small houses were converted into big apartments, and houses that were located on sherman street in 1910 were diminished in this year. Besides this, in the east direction, the map more shores were added, also area of the laundry and cafe had been changed to the east side. Interestingly, Sherman mansions along with Sherman Park were newly constructed in 1950.
