The maps illustrate the growth of a city where people live in Ho Chi Minh in 1995 and now. Overall, in 1995, to the northeast of city there was a farmland area, a forest part section and a hotel, while, to the northwest, there were housing area and some shops. To the south of city there was a fishing port, and there was a fish market and café in the west and east, respectively. Over development time, there are many changes, namely apartments and car park, but hotel, café, housing remain the same with changes in size. At the present time, farmland and forest park area had been replaced by golf and tennis in the northeast. To the northwest of city, several homes had been built, and some shops had been replaced some restaurants. To the south of the road, fishing port had been demolished. A fishing market had been changed by apartments in the west of city, and there is a car park beside a hotel.
