the maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development gg2D
The centre of a town named Islip is shown in the maps, along with additional plans for its planned development. Overall, there will be the addition of a dual carriageway surrounding the town, along with the construction of additional housing, a bus station, a shopping centre and a car park. The map illustrates significant changes to the town, firstly with the building of a Dual carriageway which will bypass the town going North and south, replacing the countryside and the old main road, which will become a Pedestrians only walkway. There will also be the construction of new housing, in the north-east and south-east of the town. The shops in the northern part of the town will be renovated to become a bus station, a shopping centre and a car park. While the park will be reduced in size however its place will remain unchanged, similarly to the school which will remain in its place but be visibly larger.
