The figure demonstrates the development of the coastal town named Petland over 57 consecutive years, from 1950 to 2007. It is clear that a number of new facilities have been added to the town. The grassland on both sides of the road and the industrial area have been replaced by several new areas. In 1950, the coastal town was less developed, with only an industrial area to the south-west side of the sea and a car park located on the east side of the roads. After 57 years, the industrial area is transformed into a seaside park and an oral swimming pool. In addition, we can see a yacht marina by the sea. Meanwhile, new apartments were built along the seaside. With the addition of houses to the southeast of the sea, household and entertainment demand is likely to see a significant increase. Therefore, a cinema and a number of shops have been built on both sides of the roads.
