The diagram illustrates the changes on a seaside resort of Templeton after the development for tourist amenities. Looking at the two maps, it is noticeable that the resort witnessed a dramatic transformation with the introduction of tourism, to a mainly manufacturing quarter. Numerous industrial facilities have been constructed, including factory, supermarket, buildings, . . . . The traffic system, however, remained unchanged. Before the renovation, it was a much greener space, with a large number of trees and individual houses. There were a school and hospital on the east, as well as a railway heading northward. After the makeover, this area became an industrial zone with its dense and useful infrastructure. Western the river, trees and houses were cleared to make way for buildings, locating along the river and the newly extended railway, which runs across the recently available harbor at the northern-most tip of the resort. Moreover, a supermarket was introduced to the middle area of the eastern side. In the north-east, an airport was built adjacent the river. Furthermore, houses sprang up behind the hospital. Moving to the south, trees were felled and replaced by a factory.
