The map illustrates the present and proposed plan of Islip town centre. Overall, we can see a vast development. The town centre is surrounded by dual carriageway. Additionally, new housing areas will be erected in the future. At present the town centre has a main road in the north that runs from east to west. There are shops on both the sides of this road. The countryside is in the far north, whereas, the housing area is in the centre and towards the far south. There is school and park in the west and east side of houses which is well connected to the main road. The new plan of town, shows expansion in the North, completely removing countryside. The main road is now pedestrians way and shops on south of it remain unchanged while towards north will become bus station, shopping centre and car park. Although the park reduced in size its location along with school will not change. Residential area will be developed together with dual carriageway all around the town.
