The line illustrates the changes of women in the UK in 6 different age groups over the period 35 years from 1973 to 2008. it is clear that the number of women who fell into the 25-29, 20-25, under 20, and over 40 witnessed gradual going down meanwhile that of women who were 35-39 and 30-35 rose slightly from 1973 to 2008. The quantity of 25- 29 age was the highest figure. In terms of the first three figures, the data of women who were between 25-29 at 140 thousand people ranked the first figure followed by the women in the age range of 25-29 and 30-35 with 121 thousand and 72 thousand respectively in 1973. The rate of the 25-29 experienced significant fluctuation from 140 thousand in 1973 to 120 thousand in 2008. Besides, the quantity of the 20-25s decreased considerably to 100 in 2008 however that of the 30-35 age group saw slow rising by 10 thousand in 2008. acc to the least figures, the rate of the under 20 took up 60 thousand and that of women who were aged under 20 saw steady upward trend from 60 thousand in 1973 to 40 thousand in 2008 meanwhile that of women who were fell into the 35-39 age group with 40 thousand and there was considerable climbing by 22 thousand. However, the rate of the 40s and others witnessed a minimal decline from 20 thousand to 18 thousand.
