The line graph illustrates the percentage of women smokers in Asia and Europe between 1950 and 2000. It can be seen from the graph that the figure for all areas experienced upward trends after the period surveyed. Besides, the figure for European Women was higher than Asian Women in all of the years. There was a gradual increase in the percentage of women smokers in Asia, while the figure for European Women become turbulent. From that year onward, the percentage of women smokers in Asia steadily grew to nearly 17 percent in the last year. The number of European Women climbed from 7 to 20 percent in 20 years from 1950, then decrease moderately to 16 percent in the last 30 years.
