The line graph compares the contribution of renewables to the total energy production in six selected countries between 2010 and 2013. In 2010, China generated 19% of its total energy from renewable sources, followed by Germany and India, with around 17% each. After bottoming at 17%, Chinese figure recovered to more than 20% in 2012 and remained almost stable at its second position. Meanwhile, Germany saw a rise throughout the 3-year period to a peak of 15%, compared to India with a slight variation. Ranked the following positions were Spain and France, with almost the same share of 13% at the start. The contribution of renewable power in these countries showed similar growths over the period, by approximately 2% each. By comparison, US figure was up to over 12% in 2011 and then stayed nearly unchanged for the remaining years, the lowest among the six nations. Overall, Germany produced by far the highest percentage of renewable power over its total energy generation, and except India, the figures for the other countries rose remarkably over the period surveyed.
