The graph provides information about the consumption of, fish, chicken, beef and lamb meat, in a european country over the period of 25 years, from 1979 to 2004. The unit is measured in grams, per person per week. Starting in the earlier years, beef was used the most, followed by poultry and Lamb, then fish, which remains the least consumed throughout the years. There is a significant decline in the amount of beef usage, as it was evidently exchanged by chicken, illustrated by it’s rise in the same time period. In 1979, both chicken and lamb were consumed at the same rate, of 150 grams per person per week, but after that, chicken was on a constant rise throughout the years, and it becomes the most indulged type of meat by the year 2004, on contrast to lamb which only kept falling, to reach just above 50 grams. Although it did slightly increase in the years 1984 to 1989, to reach above 140 grams. Beef started off being the highest, at more than 200 grams per person per week, with a slight fluctuation later, it reached its peak usage, of just below 250 grams in 1984, after that it only kept falling to a big dip, 100 grams per week in the year 2004. Fish consumption was in a constant, very slight fluctuation through the years. It was in it’s peak in 1979, at above 50 grams. Moreover, 1999 was it’s biggest fall at almost 40 grams, then it finally reached only 50 grams in the year 2004.
