The line graph provides information about the unemployment of the citizens of Australia given in percentage. Overall, it can be seen that there was a larger number of people not having any job in rural areas compared to urban areas in the year 2012.
In the first quarter of the year, unemployment rate in rural areas was at 6, 5%, which was the peak level of the graph, while almost 2% of people in urban areas did not have a job. However, the second quarter of 2012 witnessed a significant increase of unemployment rate in urban areas(4, 5%), and in contrast, saw a considerable decline in cities(4%).
In the following years, the percentage of joblessness started to rise again in rural regions at approximately 5, 3%, while the rate saw a decrease in countrysides( almost 2%). From the third quarter to the fourth, the trends of rural and urban areas was fluctuating, however, they ended up at almost the same per cent, 5% and about 4, 9% relatively.
