The line graph illustrates the number of sales of three different kinds of books [Children’s, Adult fiction and Educational] in one nation over a period of 6 years from 2002 to 2006. The units have been measured in million dollars. Overall, the sales of children’s and educational books increased over the given period, while for the adult books, it fell. At the start of the period, adult books were the most popular, which was replaced by children’s and educational books later. By the end of the period, children’s books become the favourite choice of consumers. With regards to the children’s books, the sales began at around 33 million and then gradually increased to 41 million in 2003, which then further continuously increased till the end of the period and peaked at around 55 million in the final years. Similarly, approximately 24 million educational books were bought by customers in the first year after which the figure showed a slight fall reaching at around 23 million, and then finally increased at about 32 million. On the other hand, the sales of adult fiction started in 2002 at about 45 million which was highest among all the books at the start of the period but then dramatically decreased at around 39 million in 2003, again showed a gradual rise, and then decreased in the final years to 30 million.
