The line graph illustrates the amount of six types of energy were used in the United States over a 28 years period from 1980 to 2008 following by a prediction until 2030. Units are measured in quadrillion units.
It can be seen from the graph that the general trend of using energy mostly increased. The most popular energy was used during the period given was Petro and oil. On the other hand, the only difference is Hydropower which was the less common energy because it went down in that time.
In the first 28 years, with regards to the amount of Petro and oil, it began at the highest point at 35 quadrillion units in 1980. After that, it fluctuated slightly but the overall trend was rose. In 2008, Petro and oil reached a top of 42 quadrillion units and that figure was many times higher than the rest. Coal and Natural gas started at around 17 and 20 quadrillion units, respectively. It experienced a fluctuation time then stood at the same level at 23 quadrillion units in 2008, that number shown that Coal and Natural gas moderately jumped. In case of Hydropower, it stayed at approximately 4 quadrillion units in 1980. Afterwards, Hydropower gently dropped meanwhile for Nuclear and Solar/Wind, they expanded.
From 2008 onwards, it is predicted that Petro and oil would be soared to a peak of 50 quadrillion units and remained the position op top. Next, a reduction to be the less popular energy of Hydropower to 3 quadrillion units in 2030 is suggested. After all, the other types of energy are predicted that they would be increased in the last period of time.
