The line graph illustrates the amount of monthly active members of different social networks and messaging services from 2010 to 2015. Overall, All three social media networks and two messaging services have experienced a rise in their active users throughout the five years. Facebook and Twitter were there from the start and also Facebook is the one that gained the most active users between 2010 to 2015. Whereas Twitter gained the least active members during these 5 years. To begin with, Facebook and Twitter were there from 2010 and WeChat was launched in 2011. Facebook started with 600 million active members and gained 1000 million growth of active members. Whereas Twitter started with a steady growth initially and get constant after 2014. Overall, Twitter was able to raise its active member from zero to 300 million. In a similar manner to Facebook, Wechat also experienced a steady constant rise and in four years they got around 780 million active users. Watsapp and Instagram were started in 2013 with 400, 000, 000 users and 300, 000, 000 users respectively. Watsapp experienced rapid growth in its active users in 3 years i. e. around 500 million. However, Instagram was not able to gain that much popularity in these 3 years and was only able to achieve a growth of 200, 000, 000 active users.
