The line graph gives information about the number of visitors to the UK, and from the UK to other countries through a time period of 1979 to 1999. The bar graph further sheds lights on the countries most visited by the UK residents in the year 1999. Overall, there are more UK residents visiting other countries as compared to residents of such countries visiting the UK in the given years. Moreover, in 1999, France and Turkey were the most and least popular foreign tourist destinations. With regards to the visits to and from the UK, it can be noticed that in 1979, both were around equal in number, at 10 million each. However, there was a divergence throughout the years, with visits abroad being almost twice the number of foreigners visiting the UK, at just above 50 million. As far as the most popular foreign tourist destinations of 1999 are concerned, France and Spain had more than and just under 10 million UK resident visitors respectively. USA and Greece had less than half the number of visitors as France, followed by Turkey at one-third of France’s visitors.
