The line graph gives information about the figure of how many railway trip were made by passengers in Great Britain from 1950 to 2004/05. The graph is measured in million of passenger railway journeys. Overall, the national rail network had an enormous number of passenger railway journeys an it stood at the top, light rail and metro systems had the lowest quantity of all. Moreover, London Underground and Light rail & metro systems was increased from 1950 to 2004/05. Although national rail network was decreased between 1950 and 2004/05, it still stand in the highest of the graph. The line graph illustrates that before 1980, national rail network in Great Britain increased significantly from 1950 to 1960 then fell sharply till 1980. Aside from that, London Underground fell from approximately 750 million in 1950 to the lowest point at 500 million in 1980. However, light rail & metro systems had a period of stability till 1980 without any significant change. It can be seen that after 1980, the National rail network had a dramatically fluctuation between 1980 and 2004/05. Aside from National rail network, London Underground improved steeply from 1980 to 2004/05. Although light rail & metro systems was the lowest of all, it still have a steadily increase between 1980 and 2004/05.
