Overall, it is clear that, the consumption of beef and fish decreased dramatically over a period of 25 years and chicken was the most consumed meat type. There was a gradual increase in the consumption of chicken from 150 grams per person per week between 1979 and 2004. In details, beef's consumption rose sharply its peak point at 230 grams per person per week in 1986, but after that, it decreased gradually and reached nearly 110 grams by 2004. The lamb registered a substantial decrease from 150 to 60 between 1979 and 2004. In that way, it's shown the source of chicken meat over took beef meat in 1990, at about 200 grams per head per week, and then it continued its upward trend to reach a peak at approximately 250 grams per person weekly in 2004. In 1982, the amount of consumed fish registered a minimal decline from 60 grams to 50 grams, after that this figure remained steady for the rest of the period.
