Overall, it is clear that people chose the rising cost of living as the biggest reason to go away capital city. The rising cost of living always had the lead in leavers’ options for moving throughout the whole period. Although there was a small drop (2000 – 2010), this reason still was leading. Because of this, 65, 000 moved to the countryside in 1990, it peaked at 85, 000 in 2000 and then fell to 80, 000 up until the ending of period. In contrast, moving away for traffic and lifestyle had the same numbers at the beginning of the period. On the other hand, traffic has witnessed an increase clearer than lifestyle since 1990, particularly as there was a major rise, 2010 was reached at 60, 000. Meanwhile, the increase in people leaving for lifestyle reasons was consistently and going up gradually by 10, 000 between two decades. In conclusion, the number of people relocating towards rural areas grew across the period, besides the cost of living, traffic also saw the main reasons for this trend.
