The diagram below illustrates the process of manufacturing a paper and the way it is recycled.
The process of creating a paper has five steps. Firstly, the radiata pine thinnings are collected and then bark of the wood is removed by special drum called De-barking drum in second step. The de-barked wood is then sent to a chipper and afterwords a thermomechanical refiner which utillises water Afterwards the product is sent to a paper making machine.
Recycling process of paper has six steps, starting with the paper products such as newspapers. Talking about the second step, the used paper is directed to kerbside collection and subsequently to after collection. It is then go through a de-inkking process and fine screening happens next. Later it is mixed by thermomechanical and recycle pulp with the use of water. In the end the last product is send back to the paper making machine to recreate paper.
