The table presents the percentage of population attend to the cinema and their attendance frequency for all age groups; additionally, the line chart presents the proportion of cinema visitors divided into four age groups between 1996 and 2000. From a general perspective, while the rate of population attended to the cinema increased markedly from 1996 to 2000, the average visits frequency experienced an oscillation for the former diagram. On the other hand, 14-24 age group ranked the highest and over 50 age groups ranked the lowest in the cinema attendance for the latter diagram. As for table, cinema visits witnessed a significant upward trend, from 62% in 1996 to 72% in 2000 of the total population. In contrast, the average frequency of cinema visitor fluctuated during the surveyed time, it rose from 10. 3 times in 1996 to the highest point to 11. 1 times in 1997 and ended up with 8. 3 times in 2000. Similarly, the percentage of people in range of 25 and 35 years old visiting the cinema experienced the same trend with the 14-24 age groups, varied from 14% to 22%. In addition, the percentage of citizens attending the cinema at 35-49 age groups were lower within a range of 12% and 20% whilst the figure for over 50 age groups ranked the lowest in the cinema attendance groups, fluctuated between 10 and 18%.
