This report is derived from a line graph which represents the unemployment rate in the US and Japan over a period of 6 years in terms of percentage. Overall, the percentage of jobless workforce in Japan was less at the beginning. However, the percentage rate rose in Japan and was more or less similar to the US just after the 1998. From 1993-1995, Japan's rate of idle citizens increased from 2. 5% to 3. 6% but in the US the workforce of non-employed declined from 7% to 5. 5%. From 1995, there was a dramatic surge reaching to 4. 4% in 1996 in contrast, the unemployment rate of the US remained the same undergoing some fluctuations.
