The line graph compares the rank of manufacturing 3 different types of fuels namely petroleum, coal and natural gas in Europe's country between 1981 and 2000.
It is clear that, there was a remarkable increase in tonnes of petroleum and natural gas produced, while the level of coal tended to decline significantly. Petroleum was the fuel that had the highest rank of all throughout the period shown.
In 1981, nearly 100 tonnes of petroleum was manufactured in this European country. The amount of coal was lower than petroleum at 80 tonnes. The country just produced about 40 tonnes of natural gas this year. Over 7 years following, there was a steady fluctuation in the figure for petroleum output then it went down slightly in 1992, representing around 95 tonnes. However, by 2000, the rank of manufacturing petroleum reached its peak with the figure above 120 tonnes.
In the year 1985, just around 50 tonnes of coal was produced by this country, this figure was much lower compared to 1981. By contrast, it tended to rise gradually 2 years later. Over the period shown from 1987 to 2000, the amount of coal manufactured reduced constantly to approximately 40 tonnes - the lowest number of 3 main fuels in 2000. The period from 1981 to 1994 saw a stabilization in a number of tonnes of natural gas output. Though, there was a big change that the country produced this fuel a lot in 2000 with over 80 tonnes of natural gas. This figure was 2 times higher than in 1981.
