Overview, it can be seen that UK was the country with the lowest rate of female in 2000, whereas in 2012, Italy was the highest percentage of woman to take part in court. Specifically, Germany, Italy, France and UK were the increased overarching trends. In 2000, the proportion of woman members in UK was under 5% and it rose dramatically from 2004 to 2012 with nearly 10% to 22% respectively. In France and Germany, it accelerated slightly and steadily from 25% to roughly 32% in France and from 34% to 37% in Germany between 2000 to 2012. In Italy, the rate of female members of parliament was the second percentage and lower than Germany in 2000. It abruptly surged in eight successive years from 2004 to 2012 and was the country with highest rate in 2012. In Belgium, the proportion of woman representatives was the only decreased trends. It jumped from 16% in 2000 to 23% in 2004 and remained stable in five successive years from 23% to 24%. After that, it dropped in 2012 with 23%.
