The diagram illustrates the natural process with different stages in the life cycle of a frog, an amphibian. Overall, it is apparent that there are seven distinct stages in this life cycle, starting with the eggs and ending with the development into adult frogs.
Initially, the female frog subsequently lays numerous eggs called frogspawn on the water. Moreover, these frogspawn hatch from the egg and little tadpoles come out of it and cling to plants that grow in the water. Then, the size of the tadpoles become bigger and there is a formation of front legs in this stage. Gradually, the tadpole now has developed into a shape of a frog, pulmonary breathing is also commence in this stage.
In the next stage, the tadpole has changed into a young frog with a shorter tail and the arms and legs can be seen. Once this young frog grows into a mature frog, there is no tail and the limbs are fully developed and ready to leave the water. Finally, the cycle continues again starting from eggs by female frog lays egg on the ground.
